Leading the charge towards greener transport in Scotland

 

Join Energy Saving Trust and other experts at Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh on 13 March 2019 for Switched on Scotland Forum supported by Transport Scotland. This free conference will bring together a diverse agenda of individuals and organisations leading the charge towards greener transport in Scotland.

The day will celebrate Scotland’s achievements electrifying transport, and provide a view into the future for electric vehicles and the wider transport industry.

A focus on innovation and progress 

The morning will comprise presentations discussing developments in vehicle and battery technologies; the establishment of a user focused, state-of-the-art charging network supporting Scotland’s energy needs; Scotland’s clean air strategy; the ULEV market; Local Authority successes and more.

Workshops and panel discussions

A networking lunch will precede an afternoon of workshops and panel discussions, with topics involving energy balance for EV charging, training the future workforce, and discussion surrounding low emission zones. Two workshop sessions will run in parallel, with more detail to follow in the run up to the event.

Dynamic Earth is the prominent white dome structure located below the Salisbury Crags, neighbouring the Scottish Parliament building and Palace of Holyrood House.

  • Cycling & Walking: Dynamic Earth is an approximate 15 minute walk from Edinburgh Waverly station. It is also close to the National Cycle Network. Find the nearest cycling and walking routes.

  • Bus: The venue is served by Lothian Buses 35 and 6 or hop aboard any Edinburgh City sightseeing bus tour. 

  • Driving: Dynamic Earth has a 24 hour car park located under the building, please note charges apply. There is one electric vehicle charge point on-site.
