Assistant Programme Manager, Transport

Salary: around £25,500 - £27,000 per annum, depending on experience

We have an opportunity for you to join the Transport team in London working on a range of projects, particularly the fuel efficient driver training programme, managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders.  

You will work across the Group Transport team to identify and develop content for case studies and best practice guides and work with the Group Marketing team to deliver programme marketing and communications activities, increasing the reach and impact of the programme’s research and analysis work.

You will assist the Programme Manager with all elements of programme administration including budget management, monitoring of progress against project plans, preparing reports for programme funders and supporting the delivery of events.

Your ability to plan and prioritise projects and to drive and negotiate to influence results is essential in this dynamic environment. Your strong written and verbal communication skills will be fundamental to your effective performance. Additionally, your overall financial and business administration skills will underpin the successful delivery of programmes.

Assistant Project Manager, Transport

We have an opportunity for you to join the Transport team in London. You will support the team to help deliver technical projects for clients including DfT, OLEV and commercial clients. You will undertake a structured project management approach to ensure that projects are well managed from the outset and that the deliverables are met. Throughout project delivery, you will working with the Technical Project Manager – Transport to ensure milestones are met and customer expectations are being achieved.  You will support the business development function within the Transport team taking a lead role in working on responses to tenders and proposals. 

Your ability to plan and prioritise projects and to drive and negotiate to influence results through people is essential in this challenging environment. Your strong written and verbal communication skills will be fundamental to your effective performance. Additionally, your data analysis skills, online content awareness and knowledge of transport/fleet industry will underpin the successful delivery of the projects. You will be flexible as priorities change and will share the values of the Energy Saving Trust and will have an interest in environmental issues.
