About the Foundation

The Energy Saving Trust Foundation is a grant-making charity that champions youth-led climate action. We fund and support organisations that empower young people experiencing inequality. This ensures they have the resources, opportunities, and confidence to lead meaningful climate action.

Our new strategy: empowering young people experiencing inequality to lead meaningful climate action.

Over the next two years (to 2028) we’ll be focused on two key priorities:

1. Delivering the Youth Climate Action Fund

  • Providing direct grant funding to local organisations that are best placed to empower young people experiencing inequality to take meaningful climate action.
  • Offering development support to funded organisations, helping them build resilience and capacity to thrive beyond our funding.
  • Sharing learning and impact across the sector to advance understanding and drive progress in youth-led climate action.

Please note we’re not accepting unsolicited applications for this funding stream.

2. Continuing our involvement and support of the Roots & Routes Fund

The Roots & Routes Fund is for youth-led organisations, who are fighting for climate justice in England.

Alongisde our support, the Roots & Routes Fund combines the funds, expertise and networks of Blagrave Trust, Co-op Foundation, OVO Foundation, and Impatience Earth.
