The Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing (EESSH) requires social housing providers to achieve SAP rating targets for specified house types by 2020, with new targets being set up to 2050.

HEEPS Loan scheme for Registered Social Landlords (RSL) 2017/18 is now open, with loans of up to £1m available to help RSLs complete energy saving improvements to their housing stock . Information and insight Home Analytics is a unique record of energy efficiency installations that have been implemented in the domestic building stock, taking into account every address and systematically accounting for skews and biases in the underlying datasets.
It can help social housing providers plan, deliver and monitor progress on programmes to improve energy efficiency and alleviate fuel poverty.

Loans up to £500K are available as low interest unsecured loans, with repayment terms of either 10 or 15 years. Loan terms for larger projects (over £500K) will also be considered on a case by case basis. A typical interest rate of 3.5 per cent applies for low risk projects (including those delivered by RSL’s).
Since 2011, more than £10M has been lent to 40 different projects across Scotland. These projects have generated benefits such as providing affordable warmth to householders, creating local employment, reducing costs for businesses and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
