All Scottish housing stock must meet the key criteria for energy efficiency by 2015, as outlined in the Scottish Housing Quality Standard.

The Energy Saving Trust in Scotland has produced guidance for local authorities and housing associations to help them meet the demands of the Standard.

Our guidance on the Scottish Housing Quality Standard (SHQS) includes information on:

  • Requirements for energy efficiency under SHQS
  • Undertaking energy audits
  • Advice on improvements suited to various property types
