Self Evaluation
The guide to Climate Change Self Evaluation is designed for partnerships and local authorities that want to improve their approach to climate change.
The guide will help you to:-
- Assess your approach to climate change adaptation and mitigation
- Identify what you are doing well and where improvements are needed
- Systematically plan for improvements
- Prepare well argued evidence for CAA inspectors
It closely follows the structure of generic guidance on Locality Self Evaluation published in January 2009 by the IDeA and Local Government Association, but focuses on climate change adaptation and mitigation. It includes:-
- Prompts to test how well climate change is being tackled
- Signposts to further advice on tackling climate change
The guide was tested in eight local areas and revised to take account of their comments.
