Performance Measures
Climate change has entered the heart of local government performance and assessment:
- 90% of local partnerships have set one or more climate change improvement targets within their Local Area Agreements (LAAs)
- Comprehensive Area Assessments consider how well areas are planning for the impacts of climate change and reducing their emissions
- Self evaluation is a good way of evaluating and improving your performance
How does CAA assess climate change?
Comprehensive Area Assessments (CAA) considers how well local authorities are tackling climate change. The assessment draws on a range of evidence including: the climate change NIs; self-evaluations; performance information; and the views of residents and community groups.
Undertake your own Self Evaluation
The guide to Climate Change Self Evaluation is designed for partnerships and local authorities that want to evaluate and improve their approach to climate change adaptation and mitigation. It will also help you to prepare well argued evidence for CAA inspectors.
