Talk to other councils
If you would like the chance to get involved in on-line discussions with other local authorities that are working on climate change, there are two online forums that you can join:-
- The IDeA's Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change Community of Practice
- The Carbon Trust's Local Authority Network
The Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change Community of Practice is targeted at all local authorities that are working to prepare for the impacts of climate change and reduce their emissions. It can be used to make comments, ask questions, give feedback and engage in discussions. It is an opportunity to share thoughts and ideas about: how you are addressing climate change in your area; what you find useful and not so useful; and what would help you to be more effective. To join up, please register with the IDeA's Community of Practice for Local Government and search for the Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change Community from the list of Communities.
The Carbon Trust's Local Authority Network is an online community for Local Authorities that have an interest in non domestic energy. If you are from a local authority you can register to become a member of the network.
