Developing an Action Plan
When organisations sign the Nottingham Declaration they make a commitment to:-
Develop plans with our partners and local communities to progressively address the causes and the impacts of climate change.
This section suggests how to fulfil this commitment. It is designed for councils that have still to start developing a plan, but some sections may still be of value for those that are more advanced.

Three approaches to tackling climate change
