Stragford Lady Gets Lucky at IKEA
Energy Saving Bulb Winner
Anna Stamp from Strangford Co, Down is the proud winner of 10 energy saving light bulbs supplied by the Energy Saving Trust advice centre. Anna completed the Energy Saving Trusts free home energy check questionnaire at IKEA Belfast during World Environment Week; where our expert advisors were on hand offering free comprehensive advice and support on energy efficiency, renewable energy technology and low carbon transport.
As a thank you from the Energy Saving Trust advice centre for committing to save energy, Anna was entered into a free prize draw to win the energy saving bulbs and lady luck was on her side this time round. As well as making her commitment to save energy, and completing her free home energy check, Anna also received free, impartial advice on how she could reduce her household energy bills by £270 per year.
Siobhan Purnell, Marketing Manager of the Energy Saving Trust advice centre said:
"We are delighted to be able to supply Anna with her low energy light bulbs. We hope that the energy efficiency advice that she received will help and encourage her to save energy in the home and help reduce her household energy bills."
World Environment Week is designed to raise awareness of the damaging effects that wasting energy has on our climate and encourage people to implement energy saving measures at home and at work to save energy money and the environment. The week focused on how we, as individuals, can make a positive difference to reducing our impact on the environment.
Speaking about the competition Anna said
"I am delighted to have won the energy saving light bulbs courtesy of the Energy Saving Trust advice centre and am looking forward to using them and seeing how my electric bills are reduced. I made my commitment to save energy as I wanted to be more energy efficient in my own home and help reduce by energy bills; I didn't expect to win a prize as well!"
The energy advisors gave me a range of energy saving tips to help me save energy and help fight climate change, all of them were simple, inexpensive and easy and more importantly they helped me save money on my household energy bills.
