Fuels and technologies

Community heating schemes can make use of a range of renewable fuels and technologies, such as geothermal, energy from waste, landfill gas and biomass (such as woodchip or straw). Schemes can also use waste heat from industrial processes. For detailed information, please see the guide community heating for new and renewable sources.
