Delivering on-site sustainable energy in Scotland: Planner support pack

Planners have a key role to play in assisting the delivery of sustainable energy. The Energy Saving Trust is keen to support planners in this role and has produced this pack specifically for planners working in Scotland. The particular focus of this pack is on developing planning policies that encourage and improve levels of on-site sustainable energy.

The pack comprises eight sections and can be downloaded below, either as one comprehensive guide, or as individual chapters.

In addition, a new case study describing how the City of Edinburgh Council has implemented sustainability criteria into it's planning policy through the introduction of the Edinburgh Standards for Sustainable Building (ESSB) can be downloaded here.
