The third annual Fleet Hero Awards was launched in March 2008 in partnership with the Guardian, The Observer and Fleet News.
The awards aim to acknowledge organisations that are addressing climate change by reducing carbon emissions from business travel. Best practice will be recognised as these organisations demonstrate the way forward in green fleet management.
Competition categories cover issues such as business mileage, innovation, leadership, smarter driving and grey fleet (private cars used for business purposes). There will also be awards for the best small, medium and large fleets.
All 2008 entries have been received and judging will take place at the end of August. The winners will be announced at the London Transport Museum on Tuesday 14th October. All winners will be profiled in a special supplement in the Guardian the following day.
