Piloting of the Energy Saving Trust Home Action Plan
Piloting of the Energy Saving Trust Home Action Plan
The Home Action Plan is a tailor-made, in-home service designed to help homeowners save money on their household bills and reduce their impact on the environment.
The service consists of:
- An in-depth environmental audit of your home and household
- A face to face consultation with a professional and accredited Home Advisor
- A detailed report and action plan containing tailor-made, practical recommendations on how to
- Reduce your energy consumption
- Conserve water
- Reduce waste and recycle more efficiently
- Cut down your emissions from transport
- A review of your home's potential for installation of renewable energy technologies
- Ongoing impartial advice and support to help you implement the actions
- An official Energy Performance Certificate - worth around £100
The first phase of the pilot was well received with over forty households and two community groups taking part.
The second phase of the pilot took place in Buckinghamshire, East Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Milton Keynes and was available for £99. For this phase of the pilot there was greater marketing support, an improved report and the target to deliver up to 160 Home Action Plans.
Phase two of the 'Home Action Plan' pilot has now closed, and results will be evaluated to assess impact. The findings will then be used to shape any future offering.
