Key initiatives
Here are some of our current key initiatives:
In response to the challenge laid down in the Government's Energy White Paper, the Energy Saving Trust has developed a network of local advice centres across the UK.
Funded by Defra, BERR and the Scottish Government, these centres provide citizens with practical advice on sustainable energy and transport, renewables, water conservation and waste reduction at a regional level.
New services from the Energy Saving Trust
We know that people don't compartmentalise environmental issues, therefore we are expanding the suite of advice and support it provides to consumers to now include not only energy efficiency, renewables and sustainable travel choices, but also water conservation and waste reduction.

Local authorities have a crucial role to play in responding to the challenge of climate change. Already over 200 councils have shown their commitment to this important issue by signing The Nottingham Declaration on Climate Change (2000).
