Fuel Poverty

Because energy efficiency tackles both climate change and fuel poverty the majority of the Energy Saving Trust's energy efficiency activities intrinsically address fuel poverty to some extent.  We manage the Health Impact Evaluation of Warm Front - a large scale Defra and Welsh Assembly Government funded research programme that explores the impact of the Warm Front Programme on householder's quality of life, mental and physical health and the risk of cold related death.  Detailed results have been published in range of papers, and will continue to be released through professional journals during the course of 2006/7.

We sit on the BERR microgeneration and fuel poverty working group.
