An outage has occurred at British Energy's Sizewell nuclear power plant, according to reports.
The problem was not related to the plant's reactor but instead some unexpected issues with its turbines, a news agency has said.
Reuters claimed that a website run by the National Grid showed the plant's B1 and B2 turbines were offline this morning (November 10th).
A spokeswoman for British Energy told the news group: "We returned one turbine to service just after midnight this morning...Turbine 2, we are working on a restart plan."
"As usual, we wouldn't confirm when it is going to come back," she added.
Located near the small fishing village of Sizewell in Suffolk, the nuclear power plant is capable of supplying power to over 1.5 million homes.
It currently supplies three per cent of the UK's entire electricity needs, according to British Gas and is not expected to be decommissioned until 2035.
