A new development of affordable eco-homes has been completed in Derbyshire.
Built by William Davis on disused land in North Wingfield, the homes are a collection of two bedroom bungalows for the over 55s.
Judy Owen, a new resident of the community, commented: "I can't fault anything," she said. "My new home has all the mod cons I need. It's warm, comfortable and environmentally-riendly. It's been the best move ever for me."
The properties benefitted from a new renewable heating system which was made possible by a grant from the Department for Energy and Climate Change.
Other features include storage space for recyclables, a charging point for mobility scooters and secure space for bikes.
The homes meet the requirements to be classed at the level four in the government's Code for Sustainable Homes criteria.
Under the government code, homes need to meet minimum requirements regarding energy use and emissions, while adhering to rules controlling which materials can be used.
