The data centre industry is reportedly undergoing significant changes, with a growing focus on green IT and energy efficiency.
Next month at the Power and Cooling for Data Centres World Forum a number of discussions will be held to debate this issue.
Experts from a number of fields, including the environment, innovative technologies, power and cooling will come together to try and deal with the major issues faced by data centres in the 21st century.
Michael Manos, general manager of data centres for Microsoft, said: "Data centre design, power and cooling issues are increasingly becoming key drivers within the many businesses"
He added this event represents a major chance to consider the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.
Early bird registration for the event, which takes place on October 2nd-3rd in London closes on September 12th.
Earlier this week, TelecomTV reported that True, a Thai operator, was using an energy-saving technique used in chicken farms for its data centres in Bangkok.
