Energy suppliers help boost carbon reduction
Several energy companies are to supply contracts to a Brighouse-based insulation company, it has emerged.
Dyson Insulations is to benefit from the contracts supplied by Scottish Power, British Gas, E.on and npower, which will allow the company to double in size by supplying and installing cavity and loft insulation across a broad area in the north of England.
The Halifax Courier has reported that the companies are taking part in the scheme as a means of meeting sustainability targets, such as the government's Carbon Emissions Reduction Target.
Tony Hardiman, Dyson Insulation's managing director, commented: "We are, of course, delighted to have secured these contracts and now aim to deliver a service based on our experience, skills and professionalism."
In related news, Scottish and Southern Energy has called for more windfarms in the UK in order to meet renewable targets by 2020.
