Ready for Retrofit is a three-year project offering a new funding opportunity for social landlords in the south west of England (except Cornwall) to improve the energy efficiency of their existing stock. The aim of the project is to grow the local supply chain for low carbon building retrofit by stimulating demand and supporting local SME businesses, in order to create a sustainable domestic energy efficiency and microgeneration sector.
Ready for Retrofit will deliver a project of national significance, harnessing the best national, regional and local expertise and experience and delivering the best economic and carbon reduction outcomes. It was launched by the Energy Saving Trust, Regen SW and our local partners in June 2012 and is European Regional Development Funded.
Our vision is to create a sustainable domestic energy efficiency and microgeneration sector in the south west that can:

The legacy will be the creation of a new industry and sustainable market in south-west England, between now and 2020 delivering over £2.75 billion in sales and over £1 billion GVA, and employing more than 2,000 people.
A major home eco-refurbishment programme targeted at social housing across south-west England:
An intensive business support programme, targeted at 410 SMEs, to create competitive advantage for businesses in the south west, focused on developing delivery capability at scale, value and quality.
