Addressing Climate Change Mitigation through existing and new Strategies

Dorset County Council has addressed Climate Change mitigation by developing three new strategies for: renewable energy; community-wide energy efficiency; and a Carbon Management Plan for its own operations. It has also focussed on strengthening mitigation measures within two existing strategies for which partnerships are already in place, i.e. the Local Transport Plan and the Municipal Waste Strategy.
