Keep everyone informed
Regular communication on progress will help to maintain momentum and retain the support of councillors, managers and other staff. We suggest that you draw up a communications plan in which target groups, messages and media are identified, with the purpose of maximising support for the programme. Having a plan ensures that communications are considered at every stage of the process, not handled in an ad-hoc, opportunistic way. Key people to keep informed will be Elected Members, senior managers (and the LSP Board if partners are involved). Use existing communications channels, such as staff and partnership newsletter or intranet updates.
