Description:

In response to the challenge of improving the energy performance of existing homes, the Scottish Government has established the Energy Efficiency Design Awards (EEDA). The Awards are worth £1 million annually and each year will present a small number of awards to encourage communities, designers, the construction industry and housing providers, to develop innovative ways of improving the energy performance of existing housing.

The maximum award for a single project will be £250,000, with no rigid limit on the percentage of the total costs that EEDA funding can represent.

To support the application process and subject to overall funding limits, up to £5,000 of development funding is available per project to assist with the heat loss calculations and design elements.

Application forms for the Energy Efficiency Design Awards and the development funding can be downloaded from the website.
