Joint working to support energy saving
Alice Osbourne, Plan A Co-ordinator for Marks and Spencer, Metrocentre, Gateshead, utilised the support of Energy Saving Trust advice centre to provide free home energy checks for Marks and Spencer staff.
Over 500 were sent out with the monthly pay cheques. With each person who completed one being able to save up to £340 on their household fuel bills and about 1.4 tonnes of carbon Alice was happy to utilise this free resource.
As well as this the Energy Saving Trust advice centre was able to offer support to help Alice develop the network of Plan A co-ordinators across the region.
Plan A is Marks and Spencer¿s 5 year, 100 point plan to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing the environment their business.
