Local authority services

The Energy Saving Trust advice centre London offers free impartial advice to London residents on energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable transport, water and waste.

We are funded by the government to deliver environmental awareness campaigns for London's home owners. We identify the best energy saving measures and suggest low cost or no cost options and transport advice for home owners, as well as top tips for those renting in London. We also seek to refer London's residents via our free phone advice centre to the appropriate insulation, heating or renewable energy scheme based on their circumstances and location.

We establish good working relationships and joint initiatives with London's local authorities, in their role as community leaders and local policy drivers. We have developed a range of services that we offer to local authorities: from engaging council staff and the wider community in sustainable energy awareness and promotion; providing free one to one consultancy on the development of an energy and climate change strategy; we also work with local authorities to gather suitable and robust data in order for them to successfully increase energy efficiency and tackle climate change in their borough.
