We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Human Resources team in a period of change. You will be responsible for coordinating the efficient processing of payroll and employment system changes, and provide payroll advice as the first point of contact to employees. You will undertake annual P11D reporting and government statistics, and ensure accurate database maintenance and generation of organisational charts. Your process improvement ideas will be received by a team that values innovation and efficiency.
Your prior experience of Payroll and HR systems, attention to detail and enthusiastic attitude towards continuous improvement will ensure your success in this new position.

Strategy and Knowledge Manager (maternity cover)

The overall aim of this post is use evidence and knowledge to maximise the impact of activity by the Energy Saving Trust, the Welsh Government and other stakeholders in Wales in terms of reducing fuel poverty and personal emissions.
Specifically, the role involves delivering two major streams of activity – the 2012/13 Evidence Programme agreed with the Welsh Government and the Living-Wise behaviour change programme jointly developed with and delivered on behalf of the Environment Agency Wales.
The main responsibilities of the role will be to:
- Manage budgets and deliverables for Welsh Government Evidence Programme and the Living-Wise project, including coordination of staff across EST as necessary.
- Deliver a programme of knowledge transfer activities in Wales, including coordination and facilitation of the Existing Homes Alliance Cymru.
- Deliver activity to promote joint water and energy efficiency programmes, including completion and senior level promotion of Welsh Housing Quality Standard water efficiency guidance for social housing providers.
- Disseminate information about the first phase of the Living-Wise project, work with the Evaluation Manager to ensure that full evaluation, including changes to consumption, is completed, and identify opportunities for further roll out of the Living-Wise approach.
- Disseminate fuel poverty and residential emissions modelling completed in 2011/12 and lead work to explore results and trends with stakeholders, including the Welsh Government and key high-level advisory groups.
- Identify opportunities to develop further evidence and knowledge on the best way forward for reducing fuel poverty and residential emissions in Wales, with a focus on cost effective solutions.
- Use evidence and knowledge about the most effective interventions to reduce fuel poverty and residential emissions in Wales to support the development of a coherent strategy for wider EST in Wales.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have in-depth knowledge and understanding of either ways of reducing personal energy use and emissions, particularly relating to energy use in the home, and/or of how buildings are constructed, function and are serviced.
- Understand the types of stakeholders that need to be engaged and influenced to achieve short and long term goals.
- Have the ability to develop clear plans and strategies for achieving long term goals.
- Be able to identify common goals to facilitate excellent stakeholder relationships and partnership working.
- Have the ability to digest complex information and turn it into clear, concise briefings that explain why the information is relevant.
- Have the ability to undertake spread sheet based analysis and interpret figures and results from complex modelling
- Be able to identify and take advantage of opportunities to secure resources to help achieve short and long term goals.
- Engage and use a wide range of internal staff and resources to deliver projects on-time and to budget.
- Be able to organise and facilitate meetings, from a meeting of two people, to a large round-table discussion or a seminar or conference.
